About Lisa

Lisa A. Tomlinson is an 8th generation Wilson Countian and was raised outside of Lebanon on a working tobacco and cattle farm. She was educated in the Wilson County School System, and graduated cum laude from Cumberland University in 2000 with a BA in Criminal Justice and Public Administration and a minor in Psychology. She graduated from the Nashville School of Law in 2005.

While in law school, Tomlinson served a clerkship with former United States Attorney Hal Hardin and worked as a reporter for The Wilson Post. After receiving her law degree, she entered into private practice in Wilson County, associating with Vance Law Office in Watertown, Tennessee, in 2007, and with MacPherson & Youmans in 2011.

In 2017, after having associated with other firms since the beginning of her career, Tomlinson opened her own practice in the historic Arcade Building on the Lebanon Square. In August, 2023, Tomlinson moved the firm to its new home located in The Bryant Building at 200 East Main Street in Lebanon.

Tomlinson is a past president of the 15th Judicial District Bar Association and served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the 15th Judicial District Child Advocacy Center, and she is a past member of the Board of Directors for Wilson County CASA. 

Tomlinson currently serves on the Board of Directors for Wilson County Community Help Center and Our Sisters Keeper, and she serves as legal counsel for the Board of Directors for Wilson County Emergency Services Association Rehab 23.

Tomlinson resides on her family farm in Wilson County. She is a lifelong member of St. Francis Cabrini Church in Lebanon, and an alumni supporter of both Lebanon High School and Cumberland University.
